Startup Merch in India Without the 100-Piece Minimum Order (2026 Guide)

If you've ever tried to get branded t-shirts for a startup team, you've hit the same wall everyone hits: the vendor's price sheet looks great until you scroll to the fine print — minimum order 50 pieces. For a 6-person team, that means paying for 44 shirts nobody asked for, or giving up and ordering off a random print-shop WhatsApp number and hoping for the best.

We built Bakra The Goat's startup-merch arm specifically because that math is broken for early teams. Here's the actual, no-fluff version of how it works.

Why minimum orders exist (and why they don't have to)

Traditional merch vendors work off screen printing, which only becomes cheap per-unit at volume — the setup cost per design has to be spread across enough shirts to make sense. That's a real constraint for them, not for you. It's why almost every "corporate gifting" vendor in India defaults to 50–100 piece minimums regardless of your actual team size.

Print-on-demand (POD) — the same tech we use for our own t-shirt line — doesn't have that constraint. Each piece is printed individually when ordered. That means a 5-shirt order costs the same per shirt as a 50-shirt order, roughly. No warehouse, no leftover stock, no "just order extra to hit the minimum."

What we actually make

  • Team tees — for launches, milestones, all-hands, demo days
  • Onboarding kits — a tee (or two) plus whatever else fits your budget, sent to a new hire's actual address, not a shared office nobody's sitting in anymore
  • Event and launch swag — for the one booth, the one meetup, the one product launch where you need 12 shirts, not 100
  • Customer and community gifts — the thank-you merch that makes a customer post about you

How it works — the real steps

  1. Email us your team size and what it's for (launch, onboarding, event) — shop.bakrabrand@gmail.com.
  2. We send back design concepts using your brand colors/logo — usually within a couple of days, faster if your brief is tight.
  3. Once you approve, we print and ship. Production is 2–4 working days after approval.
  4. Remote team? We ship to individual addresses — nobody has to be in an office to receive their tee.

What it costs

There's no fixed "startup package" price because a 5-shirt onboarding order and a 40-shirt launch-day order are different jobs. What we can tell you upfront: because there's no minimum, you're never paying for shirts you didn't need — the per-unit price for POD is a little higher than a 500-piece screen-print run, but you're not buying 500 pieces. Email your team size and we'll quote it same-day.

One honest caveat

We're not a printing broker reselling someone else's factory output — Bakra the Goat is our own clothing label, so design and print quality is something we control end to end. That also means we're a small, real team, not a call center. If you need 2,000 pieces for a conference by Friday, we're probably not your vendor. If you need 5–200 pieces done right, with no leftover inventory and no minimum-order nonsense, that's exactly what we built this for.

FAQ

Is there really no minimum order?

Correct — you can order as few as 5 pieces (or fewer; ask us) because every piece is printed on demand, not pulled from a bulk print run.

Can you ship to individual employees instead of one office?

Yes — this is the default for remote/hybrid teams. Each teammate gets their own package at their own address.

How long does it take from brief to delivery?

Design concepts typically come back within a couple of days of your brief; production is 2–4 working days after you approve the design; add standard India courier transit time on top.

Do you only do t-shirts?

T-shirts are our core product today; email us if you need something else and we'll tell you honestly if we can do it well.

Bakra The Goat prints on demand in India for both custom startup merch and our own t-shirt line. Questions? shop.bakrabrand@gmail.com.
